Administration Assistant
Mid Richmond Neighbourhood Centre (administrative body for the Brighter Futures Far North Coast CoNC program) is a strong community-based, child safe compliant organisation, and a leader in the provision of services and programs within the areas of the Richmond Valley and surrounding locations, including NDIS, youth, aged care, family support, flood recovery and more.
Brighter Futures (CoNC) is a family preservation program that provides targeted support to vulnerable families with children aged unborn to 17 years of age. The aim of the program is to increase safety and reduce risks for children and their families, preventing them from entering the statutory child-protection system.
We are looking for an experienced and innovative individual to join our administration team in our Brighter Futures Family Preservation Program. The successful applicant will be required to perform administrative support for the Brighter Futures Program Manager and the administrative team as required. This position is based in the Mid Richmond Neighbourhood Centre in Evans Head and will work across and assist staff over each of the following Brighter Futures locations: Evans Head, Goonellabah, Nimbin, Grafton, Ballina, Mullumbimby, and Pottsville.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Relevant qualifications and/or knowledge in office administration and data entry
- High level written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated sound organisational skills.
- Excellent computer skills with literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, & Publisher. Additional experience with databases and Adobe Acrobat Pro an advantage.
- Proven experience in building positive relationships with colleagues and service providers including provision of relevant information.
- Applicants must have a current driver’s licence and be willing to undertake a criminal record and working with children check.
- Successful applicants are required to comply with all MRNC policy and procedures including organisational confidentiality, client privacy and workplace health and safety.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate Brokerage for Brighter Futures Family Development Workers
- Purchase, manage and monitor gift card distribution and use
- Manage fleet of vehicles including servicing, fuel cards & receipts, accident reports
- Coordinate Brighter Futures events such as Child Protection week and NAIDOC week
- Coordinate bookings (and catering where applicable) for all Brighter Futures meetings & workshops & take minutes
- Answer and follow up general phone & email enquiries
- Provide financial administration in relation to invoicing for Brighter Futures related expenses including credit card expenditure follow up
- Maintain and develop Brighter Futures booklets and forms as required
- Order and maintain Brighter Futures general resources such as parenting program material
- Brighter Futures staff mobile phone & tablet management
- Assist with data collection, collation and entry into computerised data management and liaise with IT support
- Provide relief to other administration staff in absence
- Take direction from Brighter Futures Program Manager in relation to additional administrative tasks
