Biota Environmental Sciences is a Perth-based environmental consultancy specialising in flora and fauna surveys and related environmental impact assessments for a range of industry and government clients.
We are seeking an organised individual to join our team in an office reception and administration role. To be considered for this position, you will need excellent interpersonal skills to integrate with and support our team of scientists. We are looking for someone with a positive outlook, to provide a welcoming and professional first impression to our clients and suppliers.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will enjoy all the benefits of working in a friendly team at an energetic workplace set in West Perth.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responding to and transferring day-to-day phone and email enquiries.
- Maintaining the professional presentation of the reception area and shared facilities within the office, such as the meeting room.
- Welcoming visitors to the office, including offering refreshments prior to meetings.
- Researching and booking travel, accommodation and vehicles for project managers.
- Booking couriers and freight.
- Purchasing office and kitchen supplies.
- Liaising with the Finance Manager and Health and Safety Advisor on day-to-day office and business operations matters.
To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate:
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage tasks reliably and independently.
- Computer literacy with good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Previous experience in a similar position will be well regarded.
The position would be on a part-time basis of 25 - 30 hours per week (5 or 6 hours per work-day), commencing July 1. We can offer some flexibility on hours and daily start and finish time, provided this aligns with the main business activity period.
Salary packaging will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the candidate, and will include ongoing professional development and personal health and fitness provisions.
