BlakDance is the national industry and producing organisation for First Nations contemporary dancers and choreographers. BlakDance produces First Nations independent choreographers and dance artists, cultivates emerging First Nations contemporary dance companies and leads national and international engagement with the arts and cultural sector to support a strong, sustainable First Nations contemporary dance sector.
YOUR ROLEAs our Administration & Communications Coordinator, you will work closely with our Operations Manager to:
- Support day-to-day office operations, systems, and equipment
- Coordinate meetings, travel, and accommodation
- Support financial tasks like invoicing and expense acquittals
- Provide administrative support for events
- Prepare reports and program evaluations
- Oversee our digital communications and social media content
To excel in this role you will need…
- Cultural capability and understanding of working with First Nations people and communities
- Demonstrated experience and performance in a similar role
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to determine and manage priorities, diagnose potential issues quickly and take the initiative to address them
- High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to work positively and effectively within a team
- Strong computer literacy skills, including ability to administer social media channels and digital communications, such as email newsletters
Highly desirable
- Experience in the nonprofit and/or performing arts sector
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign
