About your role:
We are looking for an Administration Officer to work full-time to cover for Parental Leave for 12 months with possible extension. The successful candidate will provide support to the team and complete various administrative tasks.
Your duties and responsibilities:
Customer service
- Provide a high level of customer service to clients and employees, including answering telephone and email enquiries and serving students
- Ensure requests and queries are responded to in a timely manner
- Provide consistent and accurate information to students and employees
- Provide effective, efficient and consistent customer service
Administration support
- Assist students and employees with email, telephone and face-to-face queries
- Update and maintain accurate information in databases
- Assist Instructors with student paperwork
- Liaise with government departments and regulatory bodies such as WorkSafe, Construction Training Fund (CTF) and the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety.
- Scanning and electronic filing
- Photocopying, binding and printing of resources
- Proof documents to ensure accuracy
- Order stationery and other office and site supplies
- Manage the Equip-Safe petty cash
- Provide backup for the Administration Coordinator when required
Accounting support
- Create purchase orders
- Receive and process payments from students
- Liaise with the Finance team when required
What you'll need to succeed:
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- Ability to use initiative and work autonomously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- The ability to work to and meet deadlines
Essential:
- Certificate III in Business or relevant experience
- Intermediate to advanced level of computer literacy
Desirable:
- Experience working in an RTO or training environment
