Administration Officer
- Part time (2 days / 0.4 FTE) ongoing
- Remote but prefer Perth, WA Based.
The Australian Association of Family Therapy (AAFT) is the professional representative body of 800 members, comprising of Professionals working or interested in family and systemic therapy. The Association is governed by an Executive and Committee of Management who volunteer to promote family and systemic therapy in Australia.
As a peak body representing the profession, the association acts as a national identity for Family Therapists and advocates the profession to professional organisations, and the public.
Job Summary: The Administration Officer will be responsible for managing member records, processing membership applications, and providing administrative support to ensure the effective functioning of the Association. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update the membership database with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process new membership applications, renewals, and cancellations.
- Handle member inquiries and provide information regarding AAFT services and events.
- Prepare and distribute membership materials, such as newsletters, brochures, and welcome packets.
- Coordinate with the finance department for membership fee processing and tracking.
- Assist in organising AAFT events and meetings, including AGM’s and annual conferences.
- Provide administrative support to the Association’s committees as needed.
- Generate reports on membership statistics and trends for management review.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a non-profit or membership-based organization.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., MS Office Suite) and experience with database management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of discretion and ethical approach to confidentiality.
