Alzheimer's Queensland's Toowoomba Multi Service Centre is a leading provider of customized 24 hour, 7 days per week respite and support services. Our goal is to help clients with dementia or memory loss stay at home and maintain their independence. We use a restorative and wellness approach that focuses on improving physical and emotional health.
We're looking for a Part Time Administration Officer to join our team and help us maintain smooth operations at our Multi-Service Centre in Toowoomba. This is a busy office environment, and the successful candidate will need to be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks at once. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to both Management & Dementia Respite Team
- Performing high volume data entry within Client & Staff Management databases
- Screening all incoming phone calls and responding to client and staff queries
- Scheduling Care Services and updating cancellations/add ons
- Organising a fortnightly carer support group and maintaining a Staff Education Register
- Assisting with Quality Audits & Monthly Reporting and uploads
- Approving invoices and liaising with accounts team
- Ordering groceries and PPE supplies and maintaining inventory
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint
- At least 2 years administration/secretarial support experience within a busy office environment
- Experience within aged or community care advantageous
- Well developed communication skills - both verbal & written
- Empathy & understanding of the needs of our elderly clients & their carers
- Demonstrated ability to work with various databases
- A current Open Driver License and current Covid Vaccination
