About the position

The Administration Officer – Animal Management position is responsible for undertaking a range of administrative support, record keeping, and data entry tasks at the Animal Management Centre.

This position will work under regular supervision.

• This is a Casual position based at the Toowoomba Animal Management Centre, in Drayton.
• The hourly rate for this position is $33.44 - $36.22 gross per hour plus casual loading and superannuation.

How to be successful in this position - Success Criteria

1. Hold the mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience, as outlined under the 'Success Criteria' in the Position Description.
2. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide accurate and timely advice in a helpful and supportive manner.
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
4. Demonstrated sound level of skills in the operation of computer software including the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular, Word and Excel databases with the ability to provide fast and accurate data entry.
5. Ability to operate multiple computer applications, or the ability to quickly acquire the ability to do so.
6. Ability to develop knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to the work area.
7. Understanding of and commitment to Council’s Organisational Value and Behaviour of Teamwork.
