• $42.96 Hourly Rate + 11% Super
• 00am to 05.00pm
• Monday to Friday with possibility of on-call
• Kingston Location - Work Close to home!
• Long Term Casual ongoing, full time hourly basis

A Day in the Life

• Investigate alleged Animal Management Local Law breaches, including wandering animals, excess animals, enclosure issues, patrols, registration, and animal nuisances.
• Respond to immediate risks in cases of domestic animal attacks and wandering livestock, following legislative guidelines.
• Collect and impound domestic animals, addressing wandering animals and owner requests.
• Gather clear, impartial evidence and interview witnesses when needed.
• Safely handle animals, even in challenging situations, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
• Respond to animal-related emergencies and public safety concerns, including after-hours duties.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a current 'C' Class License
• Cert IV in Animal Management Highly Regarded
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment functional assessment
• Must have current vaccinations for Hepatitis A/B, Tetanus and Q Fever. This can be provided by the employer, not at the cost of the applicant
• Previous experience within a Local Government setting is highly regarded
