About the business
The Daniel Morcombe Foundation (DMF) was established in May 2005 by Bruce and Denise Morcombe to educate children and young people about how to stay safe in physical and online environments and to support young victims of crime.
Today we build a future where children are safe from harm and abuse.
The Daniel Morcombe Foundation would like to see a future where all children and young people are provided with education, protection and support to be safe from harm and risk.
The Daniel Morcombe Foundation is committed to child safety. We have zero tolerance of child abuse. Our robust human resources, recruitment and vetting practices are strictly adhered to during the application and interviewing process.
All final applicants seeking employment with the Foundation will be asked to consent to work history & qualification checks, Criminal history (AFP) checks, and a Children Blue card check. This helps us ensure that all prospective candidates have values, professional boundaries and an approach to child safety that is consistent with legislation, and the Foundation’s values.
The Foundation's objectives are:
- To educate children regarding their personal safety (including abduction).
- To assist victims of crime, particularly where crime involves children.
- To remember Daniel with suitable child safety community awareness events.
- To support the families of Missing Persons particularly where it involves children.
