About the School:
The Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre (BYETC) is a co-educational school that delivers educational programs for up to 162 remanded and sentenced young people at the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre. BYETC delivers education over 48 weeks of the year, providing an excellent opportunity for flexible work arrangements.
Role:
The role includes co-ordinating HR services, working closely with the Business Manager and Principal and providing a high level of support to meet the demands of the front office team. In addition to the duties in the role description, responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited, to the following;
- Oversee HR operations including, MyHR, Graduated return to work claims, WHS issues, Manage temp Contracts/Roster Variations/Resumption of Duties
- Staff onboarding, offboarding and induction
- Support the Business Manager with Recruitment
- Timesheet, ADO and Teacher Aide roster management for support staff
- Develop, monitor and track Blue Card processes
- Professional Development data management
- Staff leave management
- HR and Payroll support to staff
- Accounts receivable support as required
- Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.
An ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Front Office and Human Resource experience in a school environment
- The ability to think logically and problem solve
- Proven ability to multitask and work well under pressure and to manage shifting priorities and interruptions in a fast-paced office environment
- Strong organisational, time management skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- High-level customer service and professionalism
- Dedicated team player that contributes collaboratively and positively with all team members
- Ability to work independently, problem solve and continue refining and developing processes
- Provide a comprehensive range of executive and administrative support services including preparation of accurate and timely reports, correspondence and other documents where necessary
