Job description

Launch is working with one of the NSW Govt Departments who are looking for an experienced Administration Officer to join their team.

About the role

In this role you will be an experienced Administration Assistant to provide admin support to a critical services organisation in the public sector.
3-month contract initially. This role is paying up to $35.00 + super per hour and is located close to public transport in a modern office building. Parking is also available onsite at cost.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide admin and clerical support to the organisation and facilitate the day-to-day coordination and performance of the project.
  • Support the needs of business team within Business Operations.
  • Respond to and resolve complex enquiries and issues.
  • Coordinate and manage records and databases, complying with administrative systems, processes and policies.
  • Develop, implement and monitor office systems, procedures and methods, adapting processes.
  • Gather and collate information for, and prepare documentation and reports on business unit performance
  • Make recommendations to improve efficiency and cost management.
  • Ensuring that all timeframes are met within the business with ability to manage conflicting priorities.
Skills / Experience Required:
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience working in an Admin Officer role.
  • Data entry experience using various databases to input critical information into systems.
  • Ability to use a range of IT systems including word, excel and powerPoint.
  • Have an excellent telephone manner and deal with internal enquiries as they come in.
  • Other general admin duties including filing, photocopying and dealing with fax / correspondence.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels including C-level Execs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent organisation skills.
  • Experience working in a public sector organisation would be highly regarded.
  • Certification in Business Admin would also be highly advantageous.
