About the Role
- Provide reception duties including telephone enquiries, face-to-face enquiries, assistance and redirection where appropriate, arrangement of transport for patients, medical documents, x-rays and medications, arrange follow up appointments, filing, photocopying and taking accurate messages for staff and patients.
- Provide a high level of administrative support to the Nurse Unit Manager and staff within the designated ward area. Including the responsibilities of admissions, discharges and transfers of patients, filing, confidential record management, stationery management, correspondence management and typing.
- Coordinate/schedule ongoing multidisciplinary patient case conferences relevant to the designated ward area to achieve a systematic and timely review of patient care.
- Provide a high level of administrative support to the Department Director including scheduling, preparation and distribution of agendas and minutes for GARS Executive and Senior Management meeting, and GARS Senior Working Groups.
