Monash Health Emergency Departments treat over 150,000 emergency patients a year at Monash Medical Centre Clayton campus, Dandenong Hospital and Casey Hospital. Patients have access to a full range of treatment options, including intensive care.
About The Role and You
Your desire to help others, especially in urgent situations will be well met by this job. You will be the first contact for many visitors to our emergency area. Your shifts will pass quickly in this busy environment as you respond to the varying needs of patients and visitors. With your overall responsibilities involving enquiries (in person and telephone), registering patient information, admissions, discharges, and other clerical tasks, we will put to work your customer service skills and ability to remain helpful in what can be a demanding environment.
Your clerical and keyboard experience will also be a good head start. We offer comprehensive training that fully prepares you for the role. You will be sure to benefit from and be stimulated by the learning you will experience. Your understanding of medical terminology or experience in working with iPM and EMR would be an advantage but your enjoyment of a fast pace, expertise in keyboard skills, ability to multi task and first class communication skills are the attributes you will most need for this position.
