Administration Officer - Gympie Casual Pool

An opportunity exists for the Administration Officer to provide a high level of confidential administrative support for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS). This position is a prime point of contact for internal communication on a daily basis and externally with various departments and agencies.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include: 

• Exercise judgement when necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
• Effectively communicate with customers and demonstrate understanding, empathy, patience and a positive service focus.
• Provide advice and support in the admission and discharge planning process for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients presenting to the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
• Undertake “cultural assessment/risk screening” to identify patient needs and optimise the patient's recovery / outcomes on discharge from the acute care setting.

Salary rates: $46.51 - $51.54 p.h. (AO3). Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
