The Organisation
Our Client is a reputable Not for Profit organisation that has been operating on the Gold Coast for over 30 years. Their mission is to support and accommodate women and children escaping from family violence with a focus on their safety and empowerment.
The Role
We are recruiting for an Permanent Part-Time Administration Officer with flexible work hours. This role is a minimum of 20 hours to 30 hours a week.
The role will be located in the Central Gold Coast area and is an office based role on-site.
The successful candidate will be assisting in the provision of accommodation support and services to women and children that may be situated both on-site and off-site. The role sits within a small team of case workers, support workers, housing officers and mobile outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing support and assistance to the team attending as required
- Assist with accommodation cleaning and maintenance
- Arranging repairs or maintenance for accommodation where needed
- Ensuring appropriate staff compliance is adhered to and registers remain up to date and accurate
- General administrative tasks such as postage, donation pick up, meeting reminders and communication with clients
- Using the work car to coordinate post office visits and stock collection
- Initiative in identifying and completing any additional outstanding tasks
To Be Successful
- Female candidates will only be considered (It is a genuine requirement that this position is filled by a woman as permitted in sections 25, 104 and 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act, 1991)
- Hold experience in either the Community Services sector and/or previous Administration experience
- Be able to demonstrate strong empathy skills as well as uphold respect and sensitivity for privacy and confidentiality
- A positive, energetic and proactive attitude willing to hit the ground running
Other requirements
- Drivers License Class ‘C’ (Open)
- Current Blue Card
- A relevant qualification in Community Services desired but not essential
- First Aid desired but not essential
- National Police Check completed in the last 12 months – or willingness to obtain
Salary and Benefits
- SCHADS Level 3.1 | $71,128.72 + 11% Super + Salary Sacrifice
- Flexible work days/hours (20 to 30 hours a week)
- Work car provided for travel during shift
