Administration Officer - Logan And Surrounds

Randstad are proud to currently be partnering with a Local Government Department in recruiting anAdministration Officer. This role is based in the Southern suburbs of Brisbane. The contract has an initial period of 3 months, with potential for extension. This is a great opportunity to kick start your Public Sector career and develop fundamental skills in a supportive team.

Your new role

Your duties will be tasks including but not limited to…

• Providing high level of administration support
• Fast and accurate high volume data entry
• Records management related tasks such as file sorting, renaming and correspondence management
• Maintaining an effective records management system and managing computerised databases
• Prioritise tasks to ensure work is completed within designated timeframes
• Complete any other ad hoc general administration duties to a high standard
• Liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with team members and departmental staff in relation to unit activities.
• Encourage an innovative and dynamic team environment.
• Perform other tasks of a technical or administrative nature as directed by the Manager.
• Excellent phone mannerisms

What will you need to be successful in this role

• Work autonomously and achieve results with minimal supervision in a high volume data entry role
• Work professionally at all times displaying initiative and drive to see that goals are achieved
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Extremely high level of attention to detail
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Analytical skills- interpreting numerical and written information
• Reliable and adaptable to respond to changes in workloads and priorities.
• Management of confidential and sensitive information
• Data entry skills with the ability to quickly and accurately enter data into systems
• Excellent punctuality and attendance
