Miles is located at the junction of the Warrego and Leichhardt Highways in the western Darling Downs, 300 km north-west of Brisbane.Miles State School has a student population of approximately 200, is facilitated by eight classes, a special education program, and a staff of 32 teaching and ancillary professionals who provide a welcoming, supportive, safe and positive environment for our students to thrive in.About the RoleYour role as the Administration Officer will have you undertaking work across a broad range of corporate service activities including reception, student services, facilities, procurement and finance. In addition to the duties in the role description, the successful applicant will also undertake the following responsibilities:
- Reception duties including sign in registers and compliance with visitor procedures;
- Oversee day to day operations of enrolments and provide enrolment management policy advice, including the preparation of documentation and assisting with enrolment activities and data input;
- Co-ordinate special events including Awards Night and other school celebration activities;
- Develop, monitor and track Blue Card processes;
- Provide a range of financial administrative activities and operations including data entry, computing and clerical support for the effective operations of the office, in accordance with legislative, policy and procedural requirements;
- Co-ordinate and create our fortnightly Newsletter using Microsoft Sway;
- Photography of special events at schools, awards, parades etc;
- Manage usage of QFleet vehicles at our school, whilst complying with Departmental policies and procedures;
- Co-ordinate Facilities operations including the creation and finalisation of WAAPS, management of Start Work Meetings and understanding of Departmental Workplace Health and Safety and Asbestos management;
- Day to day management of Microsoft OneNote whole of school communications platform in conjunction with School Leadership Team.
