MultiLink Community Services is for the community and a not-for-profit organisation.

We provide services to diverse communities with a focus on migrant, culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Our services are delivered across the life span providing youth, settlement, employment & training and other services through to aged care and disability services to our community.  

About the Role

As the Administration Officer, you will be reporting to the Corporate Services Manager and working within a small team, to provide a professional, efficient and effective administration service to our internal and external clients. Elements of the role will include assisting in simple accounts functions (both payables and receivables), reception relief, maintenance planning and event planning.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of administration principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. 

Key responsibilities

  • Process invoices via an automated Accounts Payable software system and within MYOB, in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Attend to and assist in resolving account enquiries
  • Process direct debits/ deposits and other related banking tasks
  • Follow-up on overdue debtors' balances in line with organisational policies and as supported by the Corporate Services Manager
  • Assisting with reception relief
  • General administration tasks related to event planning, facility maintenance, vehicle servicing, etc.
  • Assist with any ad hoc projects and tasks as requested by the Corporate Services Manager when necessary to facilitate a ‘one team’ environment

Ready for the challenge? Here’s what you’ll need.

  • Minimum 1 year previous experience in an administration, accounts or a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills both written and orally, with the ability to communicate with culturally diverse individuals 
  • Experience with MYOB (desirable but not essential)
  • General problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail is a must
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills working in a fast paced environment
  • A team player who provides excellent customer service skills coupled with a can-do and solutions focused attitude
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office software including Excel and Word
  • Experience in reception work is advantageous 

Mandatory Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or Disability Services (Yellow Card Exemption)
  • Working with Children Blue Card
  • National Police Check (undertaken within the last 2 years)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination (or approved exemption)
  • Right to Work in Australia evidence
