About the Role
A newly created position, the Facilities and Workplace Health and Safety Administration Officer in this role is tasked with supporting the school principal in upholding Work Health and Safety standards within the school.
They will oversee the documentation of facilities maintenance registers, plans, and schedules.
Additionally, they will contribute to the upkeep and revision of school policies and procedures. This position entails collaborating with stakeholders across all levels within the school and Cairns Catholic Education.
About you :
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Work Health & Safety principles and processes and systems
- Highly organised and can balance competing priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Attention to detail, high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
- A self-starter who takes initiative and has good problem-solving skills
- Certificate IV Work Health & Safety
- Demonstrated experience in WHS, risk, compliance, insurance, auditing or similar (not required but would be advantageous)
