Community Recycling WA is an authorised Refund Point Operator within the Western Australian Containers for Change Scheme.
We are seeking a suitably qualified Administration Officer to assist the Operations Manager in the delivery of required Scheme KPI's and continued growth of this not-for-profit operator in the Peel Region.
Role Purpose
As the Administration Officer of Community Recycling WA, you are required to represent the organisation professionally and ensure its ongoing success by providing the below;
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of Community Recycling WA working closely with the operations manager to provide all sites with a variety of support.
• Managing of CRWA accounts and weekly payables, staff payroll and report generating for the Board and operations manager.
• Ensure the community is aware of the overall financial benefits of the Container Deposit Scheme through selecting Community Recycling WA as the operator of choice.
• Develop and maintain sustainable relationships between Community Recycling WA and all partner organisations, including schools throughout our Region.
Key Responsibilities
Co-ordination:
• Coordinate the accounts and financial reporting requirements for the board and manage payroll and creditor payments.
• Support the operations manager in a variety of day to day tasks.
• Promoting and liaising with all schools, community groups and commercial partners within the CRWA zone allocation to provide fundraising opportunities and drive more volume through the CRWA sites.
• Represent CRWA at community open days, events etc. as part of promoting the scheme and its collection points.
• Coordinate and Maintain a truck schedule servicing CRWA partners.
Communication / Goal Setting:
• Management of digital media accounts (Website, Facebook & Instagram) for CRWA including creation of social media plans, creation of content for posts and stories using Adobe, & Canva software and oversight of community management and incoming messages.
• Involvement in regular meetings with Operations Manager as part of CRWA’s commitment to continuous improvement.
• Assist the Operations Manager to record KPI’s (key performance indicators) as per the requirements of CRWA’s WARRRL agreement.
Training:
• Engage in training and coaching activities to help perform in the role to the highest degree.
Safety/ OHS/Culture:
• Leads by example the safety culture and actively participates in ensuring all staff are safe from hazards in the workplace.
• Always represent yourself to ensure it reflects favorably on Community Recycling WA.
