Our international transport client who are based in Yennora NSW is seeking an Administration Assistant/Gate Clerk for a part time, day shift position.
Tasks include:
- Gate in/out for trucks and trains of the containers
- Assisting with building train consistency
- Controlling emails of customer bookings
- Entering data into container chain and excel
- Dealing with customers via email
- Monitor outstanding bookings
- Record and rectify errors with data to ensure accurate container movements are maintained.
- Use the internal operating system to validate de-hire and export booking details supplied by the carrier and ensure all data is accurate.
- Regularly liaise with internal administration staff, truck drivers and forklift operators to ensure efficient co-ordination of the yard and traffic flow.
- Support clerical duties, which includes but is not limited to answering phone calls and e-mails.
Experience:
- Container Chain background would be great but not essential
- Outlook
- Excel – moderate experience
- Valid Driver License
- Previous admin/data-entry experience in a Logistics or Transport environment
- Excellent communication and team working skills
- Customer service skills
The working week is Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm and the pay rate is $31.94 per hour + superannuation however is negotiable depending on experience and suitability for the role.
