Sydney Pain Management Centre are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated experienced Administration/Receptionist who is committed to patient care, exceptional customer service and providing support to our doctors and clinical team. This position is full time Monday to Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Responsible for day-to-day administration/reception services including patient scheduling, billing, scanning, filing and typing.
- Knowledge of hospital admissions process
- Manage appointment diary effectively
- Answer and respond to telephone enquiries and outgoing calls to confirm bookings
- Meet and greet patients
- Accurate data entry including updating patient registrations and patient files in computer.
- Process payments at the end of patient appointments using EFTPOS, DVA and Medicare.
- Able to act independently, display initiative and focus on attention to detail
- Analyse problems and create solutions within practice environment.
- Liaise with the Practice Manager and Doctor/s to provide day to day administrative support and take an active part in working closely with other team members to manage daily tasks.
Selection Criteria
- Previous medical reception experience necessary (preferably in a specialist medical practice)
- Previous experience with Genie Medical Software
- Knowledge of hospital admissions process
- Ability to rapidly learn
- Skills in handling Medicare and health funds billing and rejection processing
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Being receptive to constructive feedback and willingness to embrace changes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Work cooperatively as part of a friendly team and independently
- Display kindness and compassion to patients and colleagues
Remuneration will depend on experience. To be negotiated.
