Job description

Chadwick Designs is a leading window furnishings company working across Canberra with architects and interior designers, and for clients that appreciate quality and aesthetics in their home. Our showroom is a library of products and fabrics, and is located in Fyshwick. 

We are looking for a new team member who is highly organised to manage administrative and business processes. The successful applicant will play a key role in ensuring the day-to-day administration of our company, and help us to achieve our business goals. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled, experienced, and organised person to join our small team. The Chadwick Designs team members are friendly and positive, and the successful applicant will use their similar attributes to assist both staff and clients in a professional manner. Responsibilities and general duties including (but not limited to):

1. Managing client appointments and databases.
2. Client communication in person, over the phone, and via email.
3. Working closely with the business manager to achieve smooth project management.
4. Preparing and maintaining financial records and reports for the company.
5. Communicating with the Company Director as required, and assisting with tasks as needed.
6. Assisting with day to day showroom duties.

Requirements:
1. Experience working in an administrative role.
2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, and highly organised.
3. Demonstrated commitment to following processes, principles and practices to meet deadlines.
4. Excellent computer literacy with sound understanding of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word / Excel etc.).
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired:
1. Qualification or couse completion in accounting or business management.
2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Familiarity with accounting software and systems (such as MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks)
4. Business management experience.
5. Appreciation of asthestics.
