Role: Administrative Assistant Permanent Part Time: 9:30am - 2:30pm

Duties & Responsibilities
Come join our team! We have the opportunity for a motivated, self-sufficient and highly organised Administrative Assistant to join our team as we have a New Role for our growing team. The ideal candidate would possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills. Within your role you will be required to assist with managing a high volume of phone calls, managing confidential patient information, covering in leave of absences, covering clinics (on occasion), scanning, letter folding/reviewing and document management. You will be working along side another Administrative assistant and working collaboratively with out personal assistants and surgeons.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate would have a patient care and customer service oriented approach.
Express empathy, understanding, patience and compassion for patients when handling phone calls.
Manage queries and refer them as required.
Excellent phone manner.
Genie (Medical software) use is desirable but not essential.
Experience in an administrative role is required.
Understanding of Medicare, Surgical Billing, Health funds and Public Hospital billing is desirable but not a requirement.
Ability to prioritize and assess ever-changing role requirements.
Warm, friendly and professional written, verbal and communication skills essential. It is extremely important we build interpersonal relationships with our patients and our communication with them is imperative to achieve this
Experience in using or ability learn to use a Mac based computer system.
Friendly and cohesive team member.
Basic understanding of IT and understanding different computing systems is essential.
Strong understanding of confidentiality and attention to detail is required.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
Initiative and superior problem-solving skillset.
Working conditions
Norwood Location, enclosed secure car parking.
Monday to Friday, permanent part time role. 9:30am – 2:30pm. Additional overtime would only be required if you were covering a leave of absence.
3-month probation period.
