About our client:
Arthritis Australia is a charitable not-for-profit organisation and the peak national organisation for people with arthritis in Australia. They work in collaboration with arthritis organisations all around Australia to improve the management of arthritis, while striving to achieve their goal: “Freedom from Arthritis”.
Role summary:
This exciting role is responsible for providing support directly to the CEO where no two days will be the same. This role will dive into all facets of the organisation where you will be the first point of contact for office management, administration, work health and safety, and providing support for the National Research Program (NRP).
Key responsibilities:
- Building strong rapport with external stakeholders by being the primary contact by telephone, email, and in person
- Managing inquiries through Arthritis Australia’s website alongside the Consumer Information Resources Manager
- Filing and managing general administration and office support duties, including ordering office and kitchen supplies, managing the onboarding process for new starters
- Liaise with building management to ensure safety and maintenance issues are addressed
- Coordinate flight and accommodation bookings and ad-hoc tasks required by the CEO
- Work closely with the CEO to provide support to the National Research Program (NRP)
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building capabilities
- A positive, energetic, and empathetic nature
- First-class written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a close-knit team, with the skills to work autonomously when needed
- Be proficient at Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience in booking travel is advantageous
- Excellent multitasking, time management and organisational skills, without losing attention to detail
