About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as an Administrative Officer in Darwin. The role is to support the Operations Manager with the back of office administration. Including by not limited to the purpose of the role is to take ownership of the back-office tasks attributed to the store inclusive of, the management of corporate customer orders, purchasing of inventory, managements the accounts payable function and customer pricing for both Corporate Customers and the Retail Business.
In this Role
- Overseeing of all back of office systems and process of The Bottle O Pit Lane Business being retail, wholesale, and administration
- External vendor management on the required services for the operation of the business, with a focus of system and process effectiveness and processes
- Support the achievement of budgeted sales, GP and profitability targets
- Support the maintenance of in-store standards in-line with IBA five-star expectations
- Manage pricing files and store ticketing
- Support the Operations Manager with the customer engagement plan for corporate customers
- Monitor and report on payment collection from Corporate Customers and ensure payments are within agreed terms
- Support in working with direct suppliers to ensure payment terms are met
- Support in the purchasing of inventory required for both retail and wholesale business
- Support the required cyclical stocktakes, as per the Metcash calendar
- Ensure safe work practices are followed in your area of responsibility across receipt, dispatch, and wholesale operations
- Adhere to correct manual handling procedures
- Support retail staff in the store
You’re Likely a Match If
- Strong customer service focus and preferrable hospitality background
- Knowledge of products, categories, and segments within liquor as well as a sound understanding of the Liquor industry and its major suppliers and their product ranges
- Experience managing day end POS procedures and managing banking reconciliation.
- Understanding of E-Commerce platforms and consumer expectations (Desirable)
