BreastScreen SA (BSSA) is within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) and is the South Australian component of the national breast cancer screening program, BreastScreen Australia. BSSA aims to reduce mortality and morbidity attributed to breast cancer, in women primarily aged 50 to 74.
The Administration Officer, Image Management Reading and Results is responsible for:
- Providing administration support to BreastScreen SA Image Management Reading and Results, whilst ensuring client records are maintained efficiently and with sensitivity, privacy and confidentiality
- Operating IT systems to prepare images for radiologist review
- Ensure data integrity of radiographer and radiologist entries using monitoring and reporting to enable Quality Assurance processes to support clients through the screening pathway to assessment
- Processing screening results, using established protocols and within agreed service standards
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to provide administration support in a timely manner
- Maintaining data integrity of the General Practitioner (GP) database
- Contributing to Quality Assurance monitoring and reporting in order to meet National Accreditation Standards
- Operating with some autonomy, under the general direction of the Team Leader, using some initiative and judgement to resolve issues based on established precedents.
