About the team
The Brand, Marketing and Recruitment (BMR) division provides organisational wide brand strategy and ongoing brand management, strategic marketing and planning, marketing communications activities; digital communication, research and segmentation. BMR provides sales and marketing planning and campaign assistance to help attract and recruit students. Marketing and recruitment activities planned and implemented by the BMR team are designed to help achieve the University strategic goals of brand and reputation building and attracting domestic and international students to study at UWA. The Admissions team within BMR Division admits high quality domestic and international students to The University through the use of effective, student-focussed processes and a core understanding of the University’s strategic vision for the future.
About the opportunity
Under limited direction, the Admissions Officer will provide a high level of administrative support to the Student Assessment teams in Admissions. The Admissions Officer plays a key role in the assessing, processing, decision making and offer process for undergraduate and postgraduate (including study abroad and exchange) applicants.
About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email, and a willingness and demonstrated ability to acquire further computer skills.
- Highly developed attention to detail and numerical reasoning skills.
- Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Substantial experience in an administrative role in a large and complex organisation.
- Knowledge of domestic and international education systems and qualification frameworks.
