Form of work Due to the award of recent and future projects, Macmahon has an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join the Surface and Civil team in Perth. Reporting to the Superintendent People - Surface and Civil, this role would suit an ambitious HR practitioner, with demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of employee relations. This position will provide HR Generalist support to a portfolio of Macmahon's WA Surface and Civil operations.
With over 55 years of experience, Macmahon is a mining contractor with a unique capability of offering its clients surface, underground and mining support services.
The Perth office is strategically located at the Airport (T1/T2) and boasts an impressive staff gym with personal and group training, free secure undercover parking, and electric vehicle charging stations.
The role:
Provide accurate advice and high-level support on all HR/ER queries to the leadership team and employees
Leverage key HRIS tools to deliver and support People Business Partner activities and encourage leaders to use technology to increase efficiency and drive business results
Analyse and interpret Macmahon employee data and key HR metrics to identify workforce trends, understand and respond to workforce needs
Support or lead workplace investigations and disciplinary processes
Liaise with management to identify, drive and achieve retention strategies as outlined within project Attrition Mitigation Plans
Issue and analyze monthly People reports to client groups
The ideal candidate
Well established experience in a similar role, preferably within a mining environment
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or equivalent
Demonstrated knowledge of best HR/ER practices and employment legislation
Objective with sound judgement and decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Current C Class Drivers Licence
SuccessFactors experience would be advantageous
