Regional Support is provided from our offices in Subiaco and Melbourne.Join us and unearth your potential in a global company that is at the forefront of shaping the future of the mining industry.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a professional Senior Human Resources Business Advisor to handle and execute all aspects of Human Resources for Newmont Australia's Regional offices and associated employees. The role will be responsible for providing quality HR advice and support in the areas of Talent Acquisition, Remuneration & Benefits, Talent Management, Performance Management, Inclusion & Diversity and HR technology to deliver results to our business.Reporting directly to the Head of People, Australia, this is a full time, permanent position.Newmont supports flexible remote working, so you'll have the opportunity for team collaboration in the Perth hub in addition to working remotely.Key Duties:Provide trusted HR advice and support to Newmont leaders and employees, providing specialist knowledge regarding Australian legislation and contemporary ER/IR practice;Implement people strategies and solutions to support business objectives;Continually seek to improve HR services and practices by identifying opportunities through analysis, and knowledge of industry best practice;Promote an organizational culture consistent with Newmont values, policy and legislative intentSupport and Coach leaders in their roles and within the area of HR services and systems available;Ensure education of leaders and employees to ensure understanding of EEO & Harassment and grievance resolution policy and procedures;Conduct HR and Ethics investigations and manage disciplinary activities and procedures;Process termination actions for all terminating Perth employees in line with Newmont and legislative requirements.The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and not necessarily all inclusive.The ideal candidate will have:Tertiary qualification in HR / IR or related fieldStrong HR background, with demonstrated experience working within Australia;Previous experience as a strategic HR business partner preferred;Demonstrated experience in organisation design & development, including change implementation;Familiarity with related Employee Relations and Workers Compensation legislations;Strong communication skills in coaching and influencing senior business leaders and to drive change;Ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of people; along with the ability to develop strong working relationships;Ability to resolve conflict;Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy;Effective people management and negotiation skills;We understand no candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
