The Opportunity
Iconic Project - Be home every night – River view location Perth CBD
Opportunity to join this prestigious CBD based project consisting a design and construction of two cable-stayed bridges, including a 6-meter-wide shared path linking the Victoria Park foreshore, Heirisson Island and Perth's CBD at Point Fraser.
Project completion is expected in late 2024.
The Role
The HSE Senior Advisor is a key member of our Project Team supporting project scope. HSE Senior Advisor responsibilities include:
- Take the lead role in incident investigations on site.
- Proactively be responsible for delivering the Safety message on site to our diverse team of skilled tradespeople, supervision, and management to ensure each team has a sound understanding of safety compliance and requirements.
- Implement, audit and conduct inspections of site specific HSE management systems.
- Compile and issue HSE based reports.
- Support risk identification and management processes to ensure risk of work activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Include:
- Implement, audit and conduct inspections of site specific HSE management systems
- Develop and implement new HSE initiatives
- Compile and issue HSE based reports (incident reports, trends analysis)
- Communicate HSE requirements to project/corporate teams
- Support risk identification and management processes to ensure risk of work activities is reduced to a ALARP
- Conduct incident investigations and issue findings to project team and management teams as required
- Reviewing all relevant documentation such as HSE management plans, policies, procedures and risk assessments
- Coordinating and supporting the site Emergency Response team
Essential
- Minimum Diploma in OHS - Tertiary qualification preferred
- ICAM certification
- 5 years' experience in a similar position
- Advanced software skills - across the Microsoft office suite of programs
- Previous experience within HSE databases
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills with a demonstrated capability to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and community groups.
- Advanced skills in report writing, technical writing, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Analytical skills to maintain continuity of style and content in documents.
