About the role:
The Procurement team is currently seeking an Inventory Control Advisor to join their team on a 9 month fixed term contract based at Perth. Reporting to the Senior Inventory Control Advisor, you will be responsible for providing inventory management services and solutions to ensure the optimal supply of material to the Roy Hill operations while minimising total inventory value.
The Inventory Control Advisor is responsible for management and development of systems and processes in place to ensure catalogued items are maintained at optimal levels, item availability is sustained and available as per maintenance work order requirement in accordance with the Inventory Specification
Duties:
- Manage Material Phase Out and Phase In process
- Process identified inventory discrepancies
- Manage Bulk and other individually managed commodities and reconciliation
- Review Maintenance work orders for weekly maintenance, minor and major shutdown events that include requirements for catalogued and non-catalogued materials, repairable and service exchange materials.
- Monitor the return of unused stock and rotable materials to the warehouse
- Create purchase requisitions for Advanced Delivery Requests
- Monitor Stock Transfer Orders in SAP to ensure the documents have correct quantities and dates, and clean up documents if the work order demand or purchase order is removed
- Confirm purchase order delivery dates with suppliers to ensure materials will be delivered in time for planned work order dates. Negotiate alternative delivery dates and transport options to supply high priority materials for maintenance works.
- Provide continuous insight into supplier's progress towards meeting the purchase order requirements; in particular the agreed delivery dates and to coordinate the delivery of the Goods while maintaining up to date and accurate expediting documentation and reporting
Skills and Experience:
- Relevant Tertiary qualification or similar in supply chain or logistics
- A demonstrated combination of training and vendor engagement, warehouse or inventory management experience
- SAP Material Management, SAP Plant Maintenance highly desirable
