Aeroco is seeking an experienced Aerodrome Reporting Officer / Works Safety Officer to oversee airspace protection for off airport construction works. The WSO will be engaged in constant communication with construction personnel, Airservices Australia and local airport operators throughout the works for a period of 12 months.
- A clear and current understanding of the MOS139 & PANS-OPS is essential for this role.
We are offering a competitive hourly rate and approx 50 hours per week Monday to Friday with the possibility of the occasional Saturday subject to contractor requirements.
To be eligible for the role, you must hold the following qualifications:
- ARO/WSO Certificate (current)
- CASA Radio Operators Certificate (AROC)
- Experience conducting Airside Works Safety Officer / Contractor Escort duties (highly regarded)
- Construction Induction White Card
- Aviation Security ID Card - ASIC (highly regarded but not essential)
- Australian Drivers Licence
- Experience on larger airports and familiar with Air Traffic Control procedures/communications
Personal qualities required:
- A professional and solution-based approach to airport Works Safety.
- Have at least 2 years experience as an Aviation Reporting Officer or Aviation Works Safety Officer.
- A desire to learn and a passion for aviation.
- A professional individual who is able to work with a variety of people from various cultural backgrounds.
- Is confident in operating in a fast paced and highly procedural airport environment.
- Flexible approach to working arrangement and shifts as per the operational requirements.
