Job Overview
As the Afterschool Operations Manager, you will spearhead the strategic direction and operational excellence of our afterschool programs nationwide. At the same time, you will be actively involved in running day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for leading a team dedicated to delivering high-quality educational experiences tailored to the needs of partner schools and students. This role requires a seasoned leader with a passion for education and a proven track record in operational management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the effectiveness, reach and general success of our afterschool programs.
Provide visionary leadership to align operational goals with Code Camp's mission and objectives.
Drive innovation in program development and delivery to ensure Code Camp is constantly providing a better service and experience to students and schools.
Team Management:
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of operations professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management processes to build a high-performing team capable of delivering exceptional results.
Logistics and Operations:
Coordinate and ensure the availability of necessary logistics at each venue, including devices, routers, WiFi, and physical access. Collaborate with schools to meet specific tech requirements for each program and ensure alignment with student needs and year levels. Prepare and manage the setup for each session, including logistics like meeting points, WiFi logins, and child safety protocols.
Develop and implement robust logistical processes to ensure seamless program delivery across multiple locations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimise resource allocation and streamline operational workflows.
Session Support:
Actively engage in providing support during sessions, including monitoring facilitator arrivals and managing any on-site issues, such as behavioural management or child safety issues.
Communicate with schools promptly if any issues arise with facilitators, such as delays or cancellations. Track staff feedback and session reports to ensure any issues arising are resolved.

Training & Recruitment:
Collaborate with the recruitment and training teams to ensure constant improvement in training processes and we are matching the right afterschool facilitators (ASFs) with schools, focusing on both skill fit and behavioural management.
Address special requirements for ASFs, including additional training modules or qualifications. Communicate with After-School Facilitators both individually and through group channels to share information and provide support.
Partnership Development:
Manage ongoing relationships with existing partner schools to ensure continuation of programs and address any arising issues through direct communication.
Cultivate and nurture relationships with senior school leaders (principals, business managers) at our partner schools, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
Identify and refer opportunities for expansion and growth to our sales team as they arise in your dealings with schools.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance standards to uphold the integrity and effectiveness of afterschool programs.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, prioritising child safety and welfare at all times.
Work cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement in service delivery to improve customer satisfaction and NPS scores.
Financial Management:
Oversee budget planning and resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Monitor financial performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.
Qualifications
Experience in leadership roles within the educational sector, with a focus on operations management.
Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive organisational growth and impact.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
