About the role:
You will be continually improving and maintaining the highest quality, culturally safe Aged Care and Disability service that meets the needs of consumers/participants by applying best practice principles.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience in auditing, monitoring, tracking, trending, and reporting.
- Strong administration skills, including attention to detail and the ability to use the Microsoft Office Software to a high standard.
- Sound communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in cross- cultural environments.
- Demonstrated experience in developing procedures to achieve satisfactory outcomes from interpretation of legislation and guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised, manage time effectively and contribute to the Aged Care and Disability Services team.
- Proven track record of managing complex project that involve people and other resources across multiple locations.
- Persuasive skills to participate in specialist discussions to resolve problems, explain policy and reconcile viewpoints.
- Sound knowledge and experience working in the Aged and Disability Sector and reporting against legislative requirements
- A current C Class Drivers Licence with the ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Cert III in Individual Support (Aging)
- Cert III in Individual Support (Disability)
- Food safety awareness certificate, or willingness to obtain
It would be desirable if you also possessed:
- Previous experience living and/or working in a remote First Nations community within Australia.
- Demonstrated high level of cross-cultural awareness to ensure effective participation in a cross-cultural workplace.
- Awareness of issues affecting First Nations People in Australia.
The preferred applicant must be prepared to travel and work for short periods in remote communities by various means including boat and light aircraft.
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a Criminal History Check, obtain a Working with Children Clearance and an NDIS Worker Screening. Criminal history will not exclude an applicant unless it is relevant to the position.

What you'll get in return:
A full time permanent employment receiving a salary of $87,190.50 before superannuation contributions and locality allowance. You will also benefit from 6 weeks of annual leave with 17.5% leave loading.
