About the position
As a Lifestyle Support Officer (LSO) of Juliana Village, you will enjoy working with the elderly and looking for the opportunity to assist in providing enjoyable leisure and recreational activities and experiences for our residents to enhance their psychological, social, and emotional wellbeing.
A typical day as LSO may include:
- Assisting residents to the dining room/s for meals
- Overseeing special events (monthly birthday parties, culture days, movie and ice-cream afternoons and more)
- Coordinating a range of engaging activities such as playing games, quizzes and crafts.
- Supervising and assisting residents on bus trips.
- Facilitate opportunities for residents' continued involvement in the wider community.
Qualifications & experience
- Similar work experience in Aged Care and Retirement Living Sectors.
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (Aged Care)
- Current NDIS Worker Certificate/clearance (or willing to obtain one)
- Basic computer skills.
