Hillview Bunyip Aged Care is currently seeking a permanent part-time Nurse Educator to join our team. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in educating our care and home service team, ensuring the delivery of outstanding quality care to our 58 residents. Working alongside our highly motivated and purpose-driven senior nursing team, you will contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our resident care. Located just 60 minutes from Melbourne, our facility enjoys a picturesque setting in a small country location, offering panoramic views of both the Strzelecki Ranges and Baw Baw National Park. Qualifications & experience
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience.
- Current National Criminal Record Check.
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Education preferred.
- Post Graduate studies in Nurse Education essential.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Develop, deliver and maintain an innovative education program focusing on best practice and the Aged Care Quality Safety Standards.
- Monitor staff practices and quality reports to determine training gaps and with the appropriate manager discuss actions to resolve.
- Creation and revision of training material to reflect best practice, current legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Empower others in their role and be a reliable resource for both staff and management to ensure delivery of quality care.
- Actively contribute to the long term strategic and business planning of the organization, particularly in relation to the education and training of staff.
- Foster a cohesive, co-operative working environment across all departments, that values quality safe care and respects resident choice.
