Your new role
The Department is looking for an experienced Agile Delivery Management professional to join their team on a labour hire contracting basis. You'd be responsible for driving Agile practices and techniques within one of the agency's core delivery teams. You'll utilise your experience working in Agile within Federal Government digital service contexts to uplift Agile capability and manage the delivery of key projects. Day to day, your responsibilities would include:
- Working closely with the product manager to ensure the development team meets expectations.
- Ensuring the team delivers quality outcomes, within time and budget.
- Proactively identifying and removing impediments to progress.
- Planning and delivering regular releases of the product.
- Facilitating agile events to keep the team focused and productive.
- Reporting on progress, risks and issues.
- Developing and maintaining strong and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
Highly developed and demonstrated skills and experience (+ 8 years) in Agile Delivery and digital project management.
Demonstrated ability to keep a team focused on a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to plan and coordinate regular releases and deliver outcomes
- The ability to facilitate effective stand-ups, planning and review and retro sessions.
Highly developed people and problem-solving skills, including the ability to negotiate options and practical solutions in a timely and constructive manner.
What you'll get in return
- An hourly contracting rate ($120-150/hr inc. depending on experience)
- A 12-month contract with a 1 x 6-month Extension option (with additional extensions as required)
- The Department will assume sponsorship of your Baseline Clearance
