About the Role

Our well-established Toronto Private Hospital incorporates 70 Rehab, Palliative and Medical beds and 35 Mental Health beds across three inpatient units, as well as being equipped with a hydrotherapy pool and gymnasium. Located on the western side of Lake Macquarie, NSW, the hospital is centrally located and only a short 30-minute drive from the major cities of Gosford, Newcastle and Maitland. 

We are excited to be on the lookout for a highly motivated and experienced Allied Health Manager to join our Team in Toronto. As the Allied Health Manager, you will lead a team of clinicians and therapists, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where excellence thrives. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of patient-centred care across 4 key areas of service; inpatient rehabilitation, day only rehabilitation programs, inpatient mental health and day only mental health programs. 

About you

We are looking for an experienced and registered Allied Health professional with strong clinical and people leadership skills, as well as a passion for making a positive impact, both within the teams that you lead as well as for the patients that we see. You’ll have an innovative approach along with commercial acumen which will drive program and service development and therefore hospital performance. You’ll be familiar with Private Health Insurance, DVA, Workcover, Third-party and Medicare requirements related to Allied Health care, are hands on when it comes to Allied Health rostering and recruitment activities, have excellent organisational skills, and can effectively communicate with Medical and nursing staff regarding patient management with ease. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and therapists, promoting professional growth and collaboration
• Program Development: Develop and implement tailored Allied Health programs that meet the unique needs of our patients in rehabilitation, medical, palliative care, and mental health settings
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies, while continuously evaluating and improving the quality of patient care
• Resource and KPI Management: Manage budgets, resources, and KPI metrics to optimise efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery and department performance. 
• Community Engagement: Build partnerships and engage with stakeholders to promote awareness, education, and access to Allied Health services within the community.

Essential Criteria:

• Qualification in an Allied Health profession and registration of APHRA
• Experience in leading an Allied Health team in a health care or hospital setting
• Ability to prioritise workload and respond effectively to competing demands
• Ability to develop, evaluate, and present business strategies including business development and promotion of the services in the community 
• High competency in Microsoft Office suite ‘
