About the Role

  • Manage an allocated research workload in accordance with established clinical and departmental protocols, policies and procedures; utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards, demonstrating a high level of independence, clinical judgement and complex decision making.
  • Deliver senior specialist research assistance to a research team. This role will provide leadership and support to our senior team of clinicians and researchers on a multisite MSH study. The research aims to identify and determine the frequency and type of medication related Emergency Department presentations within MSH. The role will lead the management of the project, organising meetings, helping with other project related activities including audits of medical records.
  • Independently monitor and report on key outcomes and safety endpoints related to research completion using clinical assessment and problem-solving skills, including integration of research outcomes into clinical practice, strategic direction and stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitor that the conduct of research and clinical trials is in accordance with relevant policies, principles and standards including the Therapeutic Goods Administration adoption of International Council for Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice, international regulatory requirements and the National health and Medical Research Council National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Research Involving Humans.
