Allied Health Workforce Development Manager
- Support Allied Health staff in the provision of best-practice, patient-centred clinical care
- Plan, develop, and establish operational and strategic directions across the Allied Health Workforce
- Work with a large dynamic Allied Health team
- Part time ongoing position - 64 hours per fortnight
The Royal Melbourne Hospital has an organisational structure based on clinical divisions of Access and Critical Care, Surgery, Medicine and Home First. The Allied Health department consists of 350 EFT, with over 600 staff working across the following professions: Social Work and Interpreting, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Nutrition, Psychology, Podiatry, Music Therapy and Prosthetics and Orthotics. Allied Health staff work across the continuum of care, from acute and sub-acute settings to centre and home-based services to ensure the safe, effective transfer and discharge of patients. We contribute specialist expertise, ensuring that The Royal Melbourne Hospital services are of the highest quality. We are looking for an experienced clinician to join our Allied Health Management Team in the Workforce Development Unit.
Your new role:
- Use your experience to develop dynamic and sustainable workforce solutions.
- Support recruitment, staff development, and assist with informing our Allied Health workforce strategy.
- Work extensively with Allied Health Management team and in close collaboration with People and Culture.
About you:
- You have large tertiary hospital experience and have a collaborative working style.
- You are looking to expand your leadership and engagement skills with Allied Health professionals.
- You have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
- You are an AHPRA registered Allied Health Professional keen to work within our supportive and dedicated multidisciplinary team.
