The Retail Credit Model Analytics team supports the management of risk within the retail bank by delivering timely and reliable insights and ensuring governance on the retail Credit Models under both the IRB Regulatory Capital and IFRS9 Provisioning frameworks. The team sits within Risk Management and is led by the Senior Manager, Retail Credit Model Analytics.
Risk Management is responsible for protecting the Group’s and Bankwest’s interests by offering insightful risk leadership and a commercial yet independent approach to managing risks. The Board and Regulators trust Risk Management to be the line of defence that ensures returns are achieved within an acceptable level of risk.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting insightful fit-for-purpose reviews and monitoring of retail Credit Models under both IRB Regulatory Capital and IFRS9 Provisioning frameworks
Provide timely analyses on model outputs to a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Product teams, Finance teams, senior management, external regulators and auditors
Work closely with model developers and model validators to provide recommendations around the maintenance and improvement of existing models, as well as on upcoming models
Work closely with implementation teams to maintain data infrastructure and aid in the implementation of newly developed models and revisions to existing models
Ensure compliance with Group model risk policies, APRA’s ADI Prudential Standards APS 113 and APS 220, as well as audit requirements.

Are analytically minded with a natural ability to solve problems and think creatively.
Knowledge of data manipulation and statistical analysis (SAS, SQL, or R).
Have an interest in credit risk models as well as risk management more broadly.
Are willing to learn, be part of a highly engaging team and collaborate with other colleagues throughout the Group.
Can manage deadlines and prioritise multiple deliverables effectively.
Have recently graduated with a degree majoring in Actuarial Studies, Engineering, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Physics or Statistics.
