Form of workPERSOLKELLY is partnering with our government client in the search for an Analytical Chemist. This department plays a key role in industry measurement, regulation and advice. You will work in a large team of approximately 100 staff conducting chemical and biological measurement for a diverse range of samples. If you are a Chemist looking to work within your field in a government position, this is an excellent entry point.
Please note that all applicants must be Australian Citizens and have tertiary qualifications in a scientific field (Chemistry preferred)

Role Responsibilities Include:
- Undertake analysis of residues in food-related matrices in accordance with relevant quality control protocols
- Operate laboratory instrumentation - preparing sample sequences using software such as Targetlynx and Masslynx
- Prepare media, samples and standards in accordance to standard methods
- Process data and determine whether data meets QA/QC acceptance criteria
- Ensure lab area is clean and tidy
- Strictly adhere to all safety measures within a lab environment
- Any other duties as directed
Exceptional Candidates will:
- Have tertiary qualifications in a scientific field
- Have a minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures and protocols
- Be organised and adaptable
- Be a strong team player capable of working under minimal supervision
