Animal Facility Assistant

This federal government department is heavily involved in animal and plant quarantine and is currently seeking personnel to assist with several duties at their facility in Mickleham.

This facility safeguards Australia's highly favourable animal and plant health status.  It is looking for hard working, flexible individuals to join their team on a casual basis.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Cleaning cat and dog pens and general cleaning duties with an eye for detail
• Prior experience working in dog and cat kennels would be an advantage but not essential
• The ability to work on physical tasks
• Some heavy lifting and dirty crate cleaning would be involved
• Other ad hoc duties where required
• The ability to work out of hours shifts and a minimum of 3 shifts per week would be highly regarded
• A current OPEN drivers license would be essential

This is a casual position that provides the flexibility to work on week days,evenings and weekends.  This role is ideal for individuals looking for flexible and casual working arrangements with the possibility of more ongoing work.
