Role Purpose
The Finance Team plays a key role in the business by contributing to the delivery of the finance functions, as well as supporting the management team to drive growth objectives, achieve maximum customer satisfaction and contribute to the company’s strategy.
Provide finance support and guidance to managers so they understand and drive a robust environment that promotes growth while embracing compliance, accountability and customer focus.
Engagement
- Work with Head of Finance ANZ to develop relationships with ANZ business leaders to improve financial decision making.
- Prepare written monthly Finance updates for Management, draft presentations & draft Employee newsletter content.
- Direct interaction with the APAC Accounting Team and Shared Services (Centre of Excellence, Accounting and Tax) to foster a collaborative environment.
- Collaborate with other ANZ Finance team members on cross functional work and ensure knowledge handover is seamless throughout the month.
- Financial monitoring, controlling, and budgeting/forecasting of all key financial indicators within own Business Line (P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility)
- Market, Market Share, Orders, and Revenue planning for own area of responsibility (MTA, MBR, regular update)
- Provides financial analysis and advice to Business Line Management and proposes measures regarding Finance / Business Administration.
- Interface to Region/Headquarter for commercial/financial matters in relation to own Business Line.
- engagement with managers in business forecasting
- Assist in monthly outlook forecasting process including engagement with managers to collect information for forecasting order wins, revenue, OPEX, full P&L
- aggregate: submit monthly outlook in Jedox tool and communicate to the business.
- Assist in the annual budget & 5 Year Strat Plan processes.
- Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance.
- Assist with Business Case requests for New Headcounts, investment decisions.
- Support the management team by providing analytical input and information.
- Identify & develop proposals for cost reduction strategies.
- Manage finance admin for Bonus & Incentive schemes.
- Quote and pricing approvals in line with local and global approval requirements
- Work with other departments to enable the best service and optimise internal relations.
- Supports implementation of financial and business administration policies, standards and procedures, for the assigned organization unit.
- Promote a culture of compliance and provide guidance on risk management and other legal changes.
- Participate in professional development training to ensure knowledge of technical requirements.
- Minimum 2-3 years related experience in an Australian working environment
- Previous role in commercial and/or accounting environment, preferably in business, sales or project management environment.
- Strong command of the English language, written and verbal.
- Result and quality orientation with a high attention to detail.
- Strong organisation, time management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and SAP required.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Economics, accompanied by work experience in a commercial and/or accounting environment.
- Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent
