The Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist (Financial Business Analyst) will be responsible for the group's financial planning, analysis and reporting function.
The role will support the short term and long-term strategic objectives of the business by developing and monitoring budgets, forecast and investment decision evaluations. They will operate as a true Business Partner to the Operation and Leadership Stakeholders across core group and JV partners.
This role will play a critical role in the Finance function and work closely with the CFO as we go through an exciting period of growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the efficient delivery of financial analysis and reporting across the Group companies and JV Partners.
· Maintain and evolve the three Way (PL, BS, CF) Model (Consolidated/Eliminated)
· Collation of all bank covenant reporting required including ICR/LVR measures and ensure Outsource Partner is delivering on-time, reconciled and correctly consolidated reporting.
· Drive annual Budgeting and rolling forecast activities as the group executes its long-term plan to grow by more than double in the next 18 months.
· Evolve our Investment Analysis and New Business Feasibility Models using IRR and other relevant metrix.
· Develop tailored KPI's (and associated reporting) to drive individual/group performance.
· Work with internal and external stakeholders to eliminate manual reporting from disparate sources, transition required insights into our new BI solution (Weekly & monthly reports, Efficiencies etc).
· Cashflow - Understand basics of a statement of cashflows, Cashflow relative to P&L/BS (3 way), demonstrate experience producing/maintaining an excel based cashflow forecast or report.
· Forecast/Budget - Producing/Maintaining an excel based file/template for forecast/budgeting and consolidation or at least P&L's in that format, BS & CF consol good also.
· Finance/Accounting System - Netsuite Experience (or similar) would be helpful, but most importantly able to navigate and comfortably query a simular fin system and understand the basics of financial accounts/reports.
· Bank/Covenant Reporting - any exposure to this in terms of compiling reporting would be helpful but myself and others can give good guidance.
Requirements:
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Experience in fast paced environments is preferred.
- Experience working with a diverse mix of stakeholders and working with abstract data sets.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high-level of accuracy.
- Proactive and driven to improve internal processes and efficiencies.
