Government agency looking for Property Support Officer for a short term contract in Brisbane.

Our client is a Queensland government agency based in Brisbane that provides housing and building services to the local community. Their focus areas include community support, housing, digital technology, and the arts, as well as support advice to other government agencies. They are currently looking to add a Property Support Officer to their branch to assist with the department's housing property portfolio.
Your new role
As the Property Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing support to the department's property portfolio through administration activities such as producing reports and query documents, communicating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful portfolio management, and record keeping ensuring data and reporting integrity. You will consult and liaise with management and stakeholders to establish strong working relationships that promote the transfer of information to deliver concise, accurate and timely property reviews. Additionally, you will contribute to the review the work practises involved within the team and processes aimed to improve ongoing internal processes and systems.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of property administration, management, and leasing, particularly in relation to a large residential or commercial portfolio. Therefore, you will ideally come from a background in lease or property management, with a relevant discipline in this field. You will understand the legislation, policies, procedures, and standards involved in managing a complex portfolio and be able to provide sound advice using this knowledge. Additionally, you will ideally have experience in the public sector working in property and have sound technical knowledge in order to complete regular reporting and data entry.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered an immediate start in a full-time contracted role with a government agency located in Brisbane CBD. You will be offered an initial 6-8 week contract to backfill an existing workers’ position, paying an A04 hourly rate + super.
