Your new role
Will be to provide high level administrative support to the Legal Officers. You will be working within the Workers Compensation Prosecution Unit, who are responsible for the investigation and prosecution of breaches of the Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide assistance to Legal Officers, so they can proactively manage caseloads
- Liaise and communicate with external and internal stakeholders
- Preparation of briefs
- Drafting of legal documents and correspondence
- Ordering transcripts of proceedings
- Undertake legal research
- Maintain accurate internal files and records
What you'll need to succeed
- 1 - 2 years experience in an administrative role within a professional office environment
- Previous experience in a legal administration/ support role will be highly regarded
- Ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to prepare correspondence and legal documents
- Proficiency in Adobe and electronic file management
- Sound knowledge of the procedures of the Industrial Magistrates and District Court
