AO5 Education and Events Officer

Troocoo are working with QLD Government on the recruitment of an AO5 Education and Events Officer contract role to join the team for an initial 3 months starting ASAP. The purpose of the role is to plan and manage events, conferences, workshops, expositions, and education programs in alignment with the broader Department.
As the AO5 Events and Education Officer you will:

• Plan and coordinate all aspects of the preparation and delivery of events.
• Supervise and coordinate employee events.
• Administer and report monthly on the events budget and activities and maintain the events calendar.
• Identify, liaise, and negotiate with potential private and public sector partners for their involvement
• Develop systems to ensure the effective management of events, conferences, workshops, expos, and education programs in alignment with relevant strategies and business plans.
• Provide on-site administration for events and functions where required tasks could include registrations, hosting of delegates, speaker coordination and liaison with venue staff.
• Develop and maintain communication and marketing materials to support the delivery of events and education programs.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of all events.
• Research and implement best practice event solutions.

To be considered for this role you will have significant experience and proven ability in events management and promotion. You will have experience in developing and utilising marketing and communication materials displaying strong organisational skills and high attention to detail. To be successful in this contract role you will have high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish and build relationships with key stakeholders. Experience working within a Government environment would be advantageous for this role as well as prior experience with Eventbrite.
