The role:
Reporting to the Team Leader Infrastructure and Communication Technology you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of the applications within this portfolio, including vendor roadmaps focusing on Geocortex and a range of ESRI products.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify how current or planned functionality within applications can improve or optimise business processes.
- Providing technical system administration for the geographical information applications and working closely with relevant business system administrators.
- Planning and managing upgrades, availability and capacity planning functions to applications within this portfolio. This includes performing incident and problem management functions.
- Developing and maintaining a roadmap for these applications.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
You will have:
- Relevant degree/associate degree/advance diploma (AQF levels 6/7) or substantial experience.
- Minimum of three years' experience exploiting and supporting geographical and Asset management solutions.
- Experience delivering and coordinating projects.
Demonstrated Experience:
- Within the application domain and working with application vendors.
- Understanding of contemporary application frameworks, languages, SQL reporting services, web services and application programming interfaces.
- Working within an ICT operations framework, including incident, problem, change, release and service continuity management practices and processes.
- Working with closely related domain specialists, such as database administrators and server and network engineers.
